801 I’m so happy I found this book! It’s gotten me to read, study and pray through the Bible with my little one on my heart.Each day is a passage of scripture, devotional and then a prayer. It’s short and sweet (perfect for a busy mom like me) but is full of wisdom and accomplishes a lot.1) It gets me into scripture each day.2) The devotions help me reflect on the scripture reading in terms of my child and my role a parent.3) The prayers are scripture based and are a great model of how to take the promises of God found throughout the Bible and turn them into prayers for your children.I love that this book gets me reading my Bible and talking to God about my child. There are SO many Christian parenting books out there that try to tell you all of the things that you need to do to be the “perfect” parent. I know the authors of those books are well meaning, but reading those kind of books often leaves me feeling inadequate and a failure. This book doesn’t do that at all. It doesn’t tell you what you should or shouldn’t be doing. It just points you to the Bible and to God.Being a parent is hard. There are no perfect parents and there are no perfect children.
